2014/15: finished his brilliant college career at NCAA Division One school William & Mary University with standout senior campaign…ranked 17th in the nation in scoring, averaging 20.0ppg…658 total points was second in William & Mary history and most scored since 1949…closed out his career with 30 straight double digit scoring games…scored career-high 37 points against Richmond University in December…one of only six players nationally to shoot 45% from the field, 40% from three point range and 80% from the free throw line…first player in the history of his university to be named Conference Player of the Year…named Associated Press Honourable Mention All American…Named Team MVP for the third straight season…entered NBA Draft…graded out as one of the fastest players at NBA Draft Combine…taken by the Boston Celtics with the 15th pick of the second round (45th overall selection)…played in NBA Summer League for Celtics…scored 21 points in game against the Miami Heat.

Personal: Son of Wayne and Debra Thornton…graduated from William & Mary with a degree in Kinesiology…volunteered as a tutor in high school in addition to donating his time on behalf of the Special Olympics as well as food and clothing drives for the needy…brother Andre Brooks played basketball at Bridgeport University.
